Anatomy of an Athlete

The bodies of athletes when broken down into heart, lungs and muscles responds to stimulus:
*Low stimulus will result in no noticeable changes, no increases in strength, power or capability
*High stimulus will result in so much change that the stress of the stimulus may adversely affect strength, power and capability

The right amount of stimulus is the one which the athlete can recover from. Sports science looks at what this “right amount” is
